The Rite Of Passage

You play as Mìjo, a teenager from the Shimusogo tribe. You start in the middle of the Mifuno desert and you must complete your initiation rite to become a full member of the tribe.

This walking simulator will ask you to find the Dépa, the physical form of the spirit of the tribe and to follow it through the desert to weave a strong bond with it.

This game – which is the first one I develop – was developed as part of the Game Design Studio course at the MSc Digital Media Design at the University of Edinburgh.

We had the restriction of not using external resources or plugins except for audio.

It is inspired, as requested by the brief, by Fedran online novels (https://www.fedran.com).
