Short prisoner's dilemma game. Based on true events for a guy who was arrested by mistake and have to find an important evidence for his innocence.
The story behind it is as follows: the police caught two offenders after they committed a crime, but there is not enough evidence to condemn them. We are naming offender number one Bonnie and offender number two Clyde. The prisoners are confined in different cells. The prosecutor calls them in for interrogation and tells them separately: “If you confess and agree to testify against the other offender, and the other offender does not confess, then I will let you go. If you both confess, then I will send you both to prison for 2 years. If you do not confess and the other offender does, then you will be convicted, and I will seek the maximum prison sentence of 3 years. If nobody confesses, then I will charge you with a lighter crime for which we have enough evidence to convict you and you will each go to prison for 1 year.”
The game can be simply described as a general set of two-players in which each one of them can adopt two actions or choices: cooperate or defect, to obtain a final payoff that depends on their choice and on what the opponent decides to do. The payoffs in the matrix represent time lost in terms of years in prison. The term cooperate refers to staying silent. The term defect refers to confessing and agreeing to testify, and so breaking the (implicit) agreement with the other player.
The game should be started from StartGame.bat which runs the game engine and the neural network applications.
