Welcome to Your New Home

It started as just an ordinary day, but by nightfall, you found yourself taken captive, on your way to a new land, a new home, with new people. You don't know the rules, and you don't speak the language. If you try to run, they'll hunt you down. All you can do at this point...is try.

But That Would Be Too Easy, Wouldn't It?

Life isn't easy in this new village, but an attack by an unusual foe suddenly pushes ordinary cares by the wayside. Who were they? Why did they attack? What are these artifacts that they have left behind?

Well, with exception of the elder dialogues, Areas 6 and 7 are basically done. 7 might get more added to it, we'll see Area 8 is going to be the slowdown at the moment because it's the halfway point and the dialogue is completely different

Well.
The spiders got a nice coat of polish, and then the engine decided to bug out on me (pun intended) so now my hitboxes don't work, and the bug is too unpredictable to keep going. Bug report sent, might think of something later.

The spiders have arrived!
While not overly hostile, they will attack if you get in their space. And they might just be mean enough to take your stuff, too. But should you defeat them, there will be spoils.

I'm thinking I might implement a feature for random words that might be helpful but can't be categorized well. Maybe a little hunting bit or something. But what would the prey be?

Updated release! We are now in Area 5!
Packages now available for both Linux and Windows.
You might actually be able to get into Area 6, but I make no guarantees of things working.

Words and Phrases in Area 5 are complete. Once I finish the elder dialogue, I will upload a new demo.
The dialogue itself is getting easier because I have more options, but it's getting harder because I have more options.

Oof. Apparently Area 4 is where I stopped making even minor progress. Lights are on but no one's home apparently. All right, time for some elbow grease

Area 4 is now complete! This elder convo is the first to really incorporate extended dialogue, including unique dialogue for male and female players. Hoping to add onto this in the future conversations and more fully employ them after the halfway point.

Doing some work on the powerups so they can actually be used. SKIP and PEEK are making their way in, and currently experimenting with INVINCIBLE.

Also I think I'll do the next release at Area 5 because it's another natural stopping point.
