Uncle Otto's Mansion

"Uncle Otto's Mansion" is a #story-oriented #exploration game.

You play as Audrey, who inherited a mansion from an uncle she never met.
Go and explore the mansion to unveil the story of what happened to your uncle Otto, his butler, and this kinda #creepy place. 😬

This is my first ever game and it's very #short and simple.
Be aware that there is no save/load feature in the game since it only takes an average of 50 minutes to finish the game.

Besides the coding, animation, some 3D modeling etc, I wrote the whole story, including the notes that the player can read, the dialogues...

The visuals largely rely on the "Horror mansion" asset by Synty, and contains a few other assets (all listed in the credits in the game).

It also features the voice acting of Clémentine La Personne for the voice of Audrey, as well as music and sound effects by Double Visage.

I did put a lot of heart into this project, while trying to find a reasonable balance between making a great game that gives a pleasant experience to the players, it being #free, a way to learn and my limited skills as a beginner.

AI disclosure: Google Gemini has been used for the translation of the text from its original version in English to the other languages. This has been the only use of AI to create this game. The translation has then been fully reviewed in French and Polish by native speakers, but may contain a few strange phrasings/words in other languages.

- Windows: Intel Core i5-11400 or Ryzen 5 3600 / 16 Gb RAM / NVIDIA GTX 1650 or AMD RX 5500 XT
- MacOS: Core i7 (9th/10th Gen) / 16 Gb RAM / Radeon Pro 5300M or 5500M,  Apple M1​

Playable with: gamepad or mouse/keyboard (list of all controls in the pause menu).

To play on Linux, use Valve's Proton.

Age rating: 14 minimum. There are cartoony and textual representations of violence - if you are a parent, you may want to play the game first to evaluate how you feel about your kid playing it.
