Does the game need to have a save already present? Or can a fresh download of undertale work just fine?
I've spent about an hour trying to make it work. I followed the instructions in the read me file as well as watched a youtube video of how to mod undertale in general, and every time I reboo the game, it just shows Frisk. I don't know what's wrong and why it isn't working.
I got this game on Steam years ago, so it's like, I shouldn't need that external patch?
( update - I clicked on the patch anyways and the link was invalid, so even if I need the patch for some reason, I can't download it :( )

If you bought the original game via another source rather than Steam, such as GOG or the Windows Store, you'll first need to apply this patch before using the regular one.
