Frenzy is a mysterious figure with control over time itself, and for some reason, a grudge against BF. UO: Prelude follows the final events leading up to Universe Outbreak, as Frenzy hunts down every last variant of BF and GF across each timeline.

Genesis: Universe Outbreak picks up from the events of Universe Outbreak: Prelude.

Following the events of Universe Outbreak: Prelude, Frenzy arrives to the timeline holding the last remaining BF. The BF and GF of this timeline manage to narrowly escape Frenzy, and in his attempts to chase them, Frenzy distorts the timeline. This causes the timeline to break, branching off into an alternate timeline. With BF and GF stuck in a new branch timeline, they fight their way through the potential allies, and menacing foes they may encounter, In their attempt to search for Frenzy, to end his rampage.
