UNDERTALE: Unfriendly Fire is an unofficial fangame that focuses on the yellow SOULed human. This is its own take that will use a more traditional RPG battle mechanics, unlike Undertale... so no bullet hell, sorry. (I'm using RPGMaker MV, but I swear it's not gonna be super crummy or anything!)

The story focuses on a young human named "Cosmo". Cosmo is a quiet, swift child who slides into the underground with the newfound motive to find out what happened to the previous humans before them. Throughout their journey, they will meet different monsters that test their patience, and push for frustration and want for "Justice".

They will be more inclined to use a more violent way of getting to the end, but it doesn't mean there's no peaceful route. You'll just have to go out of your way to do it...

Frequently (not) asked Questions

Here are some questions that I think are usually asked for fangames like this one, with answers!

Q: When's the demo coming out?

A: I hate this answer too, but when it's ready. Currently, this is just a one-person team. It's usually like this with my projects, so it takes time. I'm luckily pretty skilled in the program I use, the main issue is just making the art for the game, getting music, and writing.

Q: What does "Traditional RPG Battle Mechanics" mean?

A: There will not be a bullet hell. I can already feel everyone lose interest, but I swear, it will still be decent. By traditional, I mean the battles will be more fighting-based. While program limitations are one reason, it also is to reflect who Cosmo is as a character.

Cosmo is a strange child. I can't explain specifically, but they don't respond peacefully to violence. You aren't exactly the boss, so when the time comes, please be patient with them.

Q: Who's Cosmo? Isn't the justice SOUL Clover?

A: Clover is one of many interpretations for the yellow SOUL human. Cosmo is another one that I wanted to share with the world. They will have their own story, goals, and motives.

Q: Where's Flowey?

A: Flowey was not alive for the six fallen humans. Although it is a popular headcanon, there are some things pointing to him not existing at the time. This game will take place before Flowey existed. (And Cosmo will SAVE by their own accord!)

Q: Why can Cosmo SAVE?

A: All humans have determination. This is said so in the game, and in Toby's official definition of it.

Q: Which human is Cosmo?

A: Cosmo is the human with the yellow SOUL, but where they fit in the timeline is purposely left ambiguous. They could be the 3rd fallen human, or the 6th... interesting, isn't it?

Q: Will this come out on mobile?

A: Maybe.

Q: How many routes are there?

A: 3 planned routes.

Q: What gender is Cosmo?

A: Cosmo is non-binary and goes by They/Them. (This isn't to place NB in a binary...)

Q: Is this part of [OTHER PREQUEL FANGAME]

A: No. (I can't stop you from headcanoning it, though!)

FaQ was added to the game description! Questions may change over time.

Also, here are some images of the menu. I morphed it to be mostly accurate to UT's UI.

Hello!
If anyone has some questions about this project, please ask!!! I'm going to add a FaQ to the main description soon.
