Interesting, smooth and fun to play, though the scale of a few things feels a bit large compared to the total screen area, and the safe one/gaps on certain shots is smaller than the ship itself, I presume the actual hitbox is smaller than the visuals.

Wings Of Bluestar is 2D hand painted horizontal shoot'em up that combines core arcade gameplay with modern home console features, like a story mode in a visual novel style with dialog choices and multiple endings, trophies, artworks to unlock using in game collected points, new game modes to unlock like the Boss Rush, a game shop to unlock more credits, characters/world biography etc.


Platform: Steam (Windows as a primary goal, consoles come later).

The game has been in development for more than 3 years now and we have achieved the followings:
-- 8 fully playable stages with bosses (1st and 5th stage in the demo).
-- 2 player characters, each ship has its own play style and scoring system.
-- A story mode that plays like a VN between stages, offers dialogue choices and therefore different endings.

-- 4 levels of difficulties to chose from in the options.
- Gamepad, arcade stick and keyboard support, all customizable.
- One profile saving.
- Hi-score.
- Full animated intros and endings.
- A solid trophies system with 3 trophies to unlock in the demo, 90 in the full game.
- A solid gallery menu, offering original art, fanart and concept art and more to unlock (8 artworks to unlock are available in the demo).
-Boss rush mode.
-Training mode.
-Interactive tutorial.
-Game shop.
-Sound test.

Beside the games' score, there are secondary items to collect called "Risk Points", they are the in-game currency.
Another bonus item to collect are the Patema Items, needed to complete a puzzle.
