Despacito's Basics In Battle Royale
Alright, so, imagine this.
You're a little dumb underaged kid in 2019 who's favorite game at the time is the newest kid on the indie horror block, Baldi's Basics in Education and Learning.
You also see how everyone else is modding the game, replacing baldi & co. with their own favorite little characters and doing all sorts of wacky stuff with the game.
So, with the experience of having modded the game before, you decide to take a crack at making your shitpost package, only this time, everyone is instead replaced with all the current trendy reddit wholesome chungus memes.
The result? This.
The "generic meme mod" (as someone else once commented on a video playing the mod) to end all "generic meme mods", and oh boy, has this mod aged badly, very, very badly all things considered, it's almost like you can smell the dust coming off of it.
for those unaware on what happened with the mod's original upload (additional context: the mod itself was originally uploaded in early february 2019, not sure when exactly but it was around that time), it mostly had to do with a meltdown I had back in 2023 mostly regarding personal stuff about a certain friend group, that led to me wiping out alot of old stuff I made, and that included this mod.
for a while I just wanted to forget that this mod and everything regarding it even existed not only due to said personal stuff but also because it reminded me of one of the worst times of my life, one where I was continuously embarrassing myself, was formerly friends with and was influenced by some pretty awful people in the baldi modding community (you'd know who if you were around for that time, to those said awful people go fuck yourselves lol.) and overall just felt really awful.
now, let's cut to the current year, 2025.
I still very much hate that time period of my life, but this mod itself became a very, VERY different conversation, for as much it's age and poorly-madeness showed, I felt an odd sense of nostalgia towards it, and my hatred for it slowly faded away, for as much as it was made in not-so-great time period of my life, the mod itself starting feeling very seperate from it (to me, atleast) and after a bunch of back and forward thinking, here we are.

enjoy, despite it's fault and age, and awkwardness, and please remember to not hold this up to current standards given I was like, a little dumb kid when I made this back in 2019, and also the fact that it is not reflective of what I can make today.
