0.5.0pre5 IS RELEASED!

A lot has changed, but the main things are:
You can change where the player starts the level.
The size of the level is bigger.
Moved where data is saved.
The lava floor kills you instantly now.
See the article below for everything:

> Added an in-game changelog. It can be accessed by clicking the "changelog"

button on the title screen.

> The level data format has been changed. Level files are now much smaller.

> Savedata has been moved to

"C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\LocalLow\Xenon Neko\Chain Playground\Saves".

It was originally in the game files at

"Chain Playground VERSION\Chain Playground_Data\StreamingAssets".

This means that your levels will still be there when you update to newer

versions.

> Added the ability to change the location where the player starts the level.

The start location can be moved by clicking on the red square representing

the player. Old levels will still put the player in the default spot.

> The size of a level has been increased to 256x256.

> The lava floor of the level, which will be referred to as the "killplane"

from now on, now kills the player instantly rather than dealing a single

point of damage. User-placed lava still functions the same.

> Fixed a crash that occurred when pressing the Escape key.

> Added a debug menu that can be accessed by pressing F3 when in the Level

Editor.

> Pressing F3+O will toggle the playmode camera between 3D and 2D.

> Modified the Level Browser UI to fit more levels on screen at once.

> Stopped scrolling and dragging from moving the camera when using the Level

Editor UI such as picking a level to load.

> Stopped scrolling if the cursor is not inside the game screen.

> Made the clicking of most buttons in the Level Editor occur when left click

is pressed down rather than when it is released.

> If the player is outside of the level bounds, they simply fall to their

death when reaching the killplane.

> There is now a skybox if you leave the level bounds (but only in playmode).

> Made some graphical changes.

> Fixed a bug where the lava screen overlay could get distorted when the

player got squished.

> Removed the camera-shaking effect when the player was near lava.

I'm currently working on the new level browser, rewriting the networking code, and changing how online levels are stored. With the new browser comes a new look for the UI - here is a sneak peek at how it looks so far.

0.4.0 is out, and it brings some new features to the game! Moving platforms can now have more complicated paths, and nodes can be turned into triggers that get activated when the player enters them!

0.3.2 is out, and it's another bug-fix along with some improved graphics! There's also a credits menu on the title screen.

This Satuday we invite to watch another #speedpainting of our artist Daniel Faiad.

How great is this scene of #Pecaminosa?

Here's a peaceful little forest scene for this #screenshotsaturday, from the beginning of the game.

I have added rewards for quests so that villagers can give you something in return for your hard work helping them. 🥳

I want to know - what's your favourite quest reward?
