I decided to rewrite the game a little bit so that it is singleplayer friendly. It occured to me how little the 2-Player aspect would actually be used. I plan to change the game further in the future so that it will give you a choice between 1 and 2 players on startup.

In the quest for accessibility, I'm adding Resurrection Shrines for players on the 'novice' end of the platforming spectrum.
In order to unlock the power of a Shrine, you must collect 3 'Souls' from your dead corpses! (the floating blue orbs)
