Happy Frickbear Friday! Did you know that this upcoming Thursday marks the 1-year anniversary of the demo's release?
Kinda nuts how far the game has come since then...it's kinda funny looking back at footage of the demo and seeing how many things have changed and how many little improvements have been made everywhere. I don't wanna toot my own horn too much, but I will say that if you thought the demo was awesome, you haven't seen nothin' yet.
That aside, I wanted to take the opportunity to go over what we've managed to get done in since the last devlog, as well as shed some more light on what's left to finish up before the game can be released (which, fortunately, isn't too much at this point!).
WHERE ARE WE AT THIS POINT, AND WHAT'S LEFT?
I'm happy to say that, at the current moment, all but ONE of the game's story routes are 100% complete! This includes programming, visuals, dialogue, cutscenes, the whole nine yards. I obviously don't wanna say too much about them, I do think they turned out reeeeeeaaaaaally cool and am looking forward to seeing all of you experience them :D

Now, in regards to everything that's still left to finish, the BIG thing is that one remaining story route. Now, full disclosure, this route's a bit of a special one, so I don't know how long it'll take - while I was able to get the last one done in just around a month, there are certain unique circumstances with this last route that may or may not make its development take quite a bit longer. Namely, I'm getting a lot more outside help on this route! I'm not gonna spoil what that outside help is for, though ; )
Of course, people get busy, and not everyone's gonna feel motivated to work on a particular project all the time, especially if they have their own personal projects to tend to - because of that, this route miiiiight take a bit longer than the others which I was largely able to get done all by myself, BUT, I assure you that it'll very much be worth the wait.
OTHER STUFF
Of course, there's a bunch of smaller stuff that needs to get done too. There's still more dialogue to write for the parking lot cutscenes - quite a lot more, actually! Right now all the dialogue for the most straightforward story routes is finished, but we'll also need to write up stuff to accommodate scenarios like a player switching routes partway through or dropping a route altogether, which will of course need their own special dialogue. You might have seen how in the demo there's a unique cutscene that plays if you meet the requirements to meet Michael AND Vanny at the same time - all the dialogue that's left to write will be for stuff like that.
The other biggest subset of Stuff left to finish would be the extras menu - while the animatronic gallery part of it has been done for quite some time, that won't be the only thing in there! Since last week, another two submenus - namely Concept Art and Trophies - have also been finished :D

Of course, there's also stuff like the remaining voice lines (which there aren't a lot of but there's still a few), as well as polishing and bug testing which we'll definitely wanna do a lot of given how many moving parts this game has. Now, with all that taken into consideration, you might be asking yourself...
HOW MUCH LONGER UNTIL THE FINAL GAME'S RELEASE?
I dunno.
Okay, to give a more serious answer, I can't imagine it'll be TOO much longer, but factors like other peoples' schedules and not knowing exactly how long the remaining content will take to make means I still can't give a firm release date. Though, if I had to guesstimate...
I'd say the game is currently at around 90% completion, and will probably be done within two to four more months or so...but don't hold me to that, it could always change.
I'll announce a firm release date eventually, but only once we're 100% sure we can actually reach it! (So you probably aren't gonna hear about it until like, a week before the game's release.)
Either way, thank you for reading! Sorry for how late this post was, I've unfortunately been SICK AS ALL GET OUT and spent most of today in bed : ( However, the bear grind stops for nothing.
I hope you all look forward to the hopefully-soon-to-come full release! It's gonna be awesome.
