Happy 1st Anniversary NIGHTFELL!

I can't believe it's been a year since I started NightFell! 🎊🥂

To celebrate, I wanted to share a few things...

A small animation I did of our protagonist, Jackie!

A new set of portraits and overworld sprites for Toriel. I'm using 1x1 portrait-sized sprite (Undertale scales it up to 2x2) to get more room to draw Toriel the way I wanted to.

Lastly, I've added a new song to the gamejolt page! The remixed track "Fallen Down" was done by the awesome @FutureGamer25 ! Thank you, dude! It turned out fantastic.

As for progress, I'm currently working on the rough cut of the game. Excluding battles (which need their dedicated scheduled days to make) I've gotten the game almost half done. This rough cut will use placeholders and showcase all the cutscenes and gameplay.

Focusing on this alone I can get the story playtested to figure out the timing and communication of its ideas. I imagine I can accomplish a few weeks -and then I can focus on polishing up the game and its art.

In other words...

I'd like to announce that we plan to release a demo late this year!
