Hello everybody. I’m here to celebrate 200 followers to this game. The last time a post was made was about a hundred followers ago…which is pretty crazy. Thank you. Today, I’m here to show you some things from the dumpster fire of Royal Bones. This is part 1 of it, expect part 2 in a few days. No, it will not be a surprise revival or something like that.

This was an enemy that we designed for Snowdin named “Noelburr”.
It was based off an NPC that was shown off in a devlog long, LONG ago.

Here was a WIP mock-up of an area of snowdin. This features a overworld sprite for Noelburr.

This was an area of the Tunnels. There would be pickaxes and torches around the place.

WIP Spider’s Nation mock-up. This didn’t get too much work done on it, but was just designed to try to get the general look down for the area before an actual attempt at a tileset.

This one is pretty interesting. It’s an early papyrus sheet. But, there is a pretty messed up death animation bit at the bottom. That might be a bit messed up, but so is killing out-of-character papy, right?

Here’s a proof of concept sprite for an enemy. It’s name is “Seeler”. Why? I honestly don’t remember and don’t really care honestly. It was supposed to be fought as a special genocide boss where Riverperson would lock you somewhere and unleash it. I always hated how we had Riverperson as a main character. But, whatever.
