This year is probably up there with one of the most significant years I've ever lived, whether good or bad.. I am very thankful and glad it even happened. Frankly it's taught me a lot; and it’s opened me to so many new opportunities going forward, it makes me ponder if this was the year I've needed for the longest time now.
However, it still wasn’t entirely perfect, in full honesty it was somewhat of a rollercoaster; But if anything, the bad moments were needed in order to open up better opportunities.
Before I actually get into this post, this post is mostly gonna be an update about what I’ve been up to for the last 2 years, including why I’ve been somewhat absent from game development and content creation throughout that time.
I think a lot of you have noticed that I haven’t really been actively posting anything regarding game development or live streaming even for about like.. the last 2 years I’d say? Not to mention – One of my largest projects, Weezer’s hasn’t even been worked on in a year if I’m being completely honest. Why?
For 2024 - early 2025, it’s a whole different story I’ll explain later in this post. But as for the rest of 2025?
I’m gonna be so deadass, I’ve just been a mix of busy and tired. I already program for other games like Forgotten at Fredbear’s and Ramiz & Friends: Part II, on top of that I'm currently attending college for IT and do regularly go out with friends so that drains me out pretty quickly. And then whenever I do actually get free time, I’d want to spend it just chilling out and playing games – especially with my new PC.
I do try and put in time to work on projects every now and then though, it’s just not that much of a priority for me at the moment given the circumstances. I do really wanna get to working on them once I finish my year of college though, since at that rate I’ll have all the free time in the world. Matter of fact, I plan on releasing Weezer’s likely around mid-2026 if everything goes well.
As for things I've worked on and want to work on..
The only thing I fully released was the DSMIS 3 Episode 1 recode, which was a pretty fun project to work on and was a fresh return to game development as a whole. Which you can go check out here:
At some point, I said that there was gonna be a "new game soon", this was referring to a bite-sized shitpost roguelite shooter I was making for fun and to get myself back into game development. I've been working on it on-and-off and eventually will release it at some point, it's pretty much mostly done as of now.

Around late 2024, I released a game called Data Retrieved for the By The Hour event. It's honestly by far one of the worst games I've ever made, it was made in 2 days meaning I had to cut down on a lot of ideas I had for it and 'dumbify' the gameplay which ended up making it shit and overall a nothingburger of a project. However, I do wanna get to remaking it at some point with the original ideas I had in mind and generally just making it a bigger and better project.

In summer of 2024, there was a game jam hosted by Plenty that I wanted to participate in. I started posting teasers of the game I was working on for the game jam, but I didn't end up finishing it in time. However, I don't wanna just abandon it and do wanna get back to making it as the premise I had for it was pretty interesting. It was supposed to be some sort of 2016 'charm' game that increasingly gets more strange and bizarre as the game progresses and straight up turns into a whole different game after.

At last, Five Albums at Weezers. It's without a doubt that this is the game I've been the most silent about for the longest time now, but I promise it's not dead! I've just kinda been procrastinating on it for a while now, which is kind of ironic cause the game's been like 60-70% done.
I am still working on a demo cause I don't want to keep you guys waiting for the full release (you've waited long enough), the only thing I've yet to do for it is to redo the phone calls with a new voice actor for Jamie and it pretty much should be good to go!

On top of that, for those who used to watch my videos; you’d know that I genuinely haven’t made a review in like.. 3 years now. Which is a shame because I enjoyed making those videos and I genuinely do wanna get to making them again with a whole different approach. It’s hard to say if I’ll ever get to doing it, but just know that the will is there – it’s just a matter of convenience.
To make up for not making videos, I eventually started live streaming and found it really fun! I kept doing it every now and then till around late last year. I wanted to get back to doing it again in the summer but unfortunately my PC completely broke around June and stayed broken till I eventually built a new one just a few weeks ago. So with that, I plan on getting back to streaming somewhere in 2026, likely the second quarter – whether it’d be playing games, developing, chatting and so on.
Now on a more personal note, I think a lot of you reading know that 2024 was THE worst year I’ve ever lived – but for those who don’t; I was going through a rough separation at the very start, was bed-ridden for like half of the year, was in the middle of countless amounts of beef, was in a really unhealthy situationship, drifted apart from my friends, went through a whole identity crisis and was generally just really depressed. My mental health went to the shitter, which is why I didn’t really work on any projects that year, and whatever I managed to get out was of questionable quality.
This continued till early 2025, which is when my– I guess, ‘cleansing’ began; early on I got out of the situationship, reconnected with my friend circle and finished my school finals. Things were going towards the right direction compared to the year before, let alone the last 3 years. I met a bunch of amazing new people and eventually established a group filled with my closest friends. If there’s one thing to note, one of the most important steps I took throughout this year was getting rid of all the troublesome people in my life; which helped me out way more than I thought it first would.
Now obviously that took a lot of effort, matter of fact the process behind it was part of what made the year so rocky. But at the end of the day, it was all worth it – and I can definitely see things getting better from this point onwards; I have a good feeling that 2026 will be a really great year for me, especially with the amount of things to look forward to. I’m glad for the first time in 2 years, I can actually end the year on a positive note and get to appreciate 2025 in general.
To that I say, thank you 2025 – for being the year I’ve always needed. But I definitely couldn't have gone through these last few years without most importantly, my friends, family and you guys – here's a list of my GOATS (@Thegoatone
