Too sudden of a devlog post?

This devlog is going to be much shorter compared to the last one:


How complete is Cube's Dark Hours Reopened?

Can't say, won't say. Basically, all I will say is:

The game will most likely release in May or June 2025! If something goes wrong, and I end up delaying it, you can flame me all you want.


Why did you redesign Anty?

Let's be honest, he looked too basic and out-of-place. This redesign was practically necessary. I'm not saying I hated his design, but my view on it definitely changed.

Do you think Cube's Dark Hours Reopened is better than the original version?

Did you ever plan on re-using some assets for Reopened from older games?

I definitely did, but then I didn't, because they looked out of place.

Take the light button design for example. Sure, there was nothing wrong with it, but it didn't fit in well compared to everything else, so I made a new design for it. The new design still keeps the core fundamentals, but is new enough to not be jarring or out-of-place.


Is the camera static effect lowered?

Yep, you can see much clearly now, but should still have enough intensity where the player needs to properly pay attention.


What is your current mindset on an actual demo?

Remember from the last devlog where I said "I might consider it"? Well, I have!

Cube's Dark Hours Reopened will receive an actual demo! Just like I stated in the previous post, the demo would likely release after the trailer finishes its premiere. The demo won't have an INI save file, so once the full game releases, you'll have to replay the first night all over again ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

[ TL;DR (from the previous devlog post) - Will CDH1 Reopened receive an actual demo?

I might consider it. For example, a demo of the game could be avaialable to download as soon as the game trailer finishes its premiere. With that, even if it may take a few days to release the full game, playes will get a taste of what to expect in the full game!

Again, no promises. I am not confirming a demo, just thinking about it.]


How difficult will Night 6 be?

That would be left up to debate whether it is much harder than the base game or not, but we'll just have to wait and see your thoughts :]


Do you expect to release patches when the game releases?

Patch updates are inevitable. Might not seem reassuring, but everything will be fine, don’t worry. Hopefully it won’t need as much as previous games, but we’ll just have to wait and see.


Will Dave still meet his demise at the end of the game?

I don’t see the benefit in these. “Attention” should not be bought, it should be earned gradually overtime by the creator, game, user, whatever else.

William Afton yet again, full pose finished rendering. I mean, i finally found a way to make good enough color that isnt taking freaking entire days to make and isnt looking horrible. I wish i was better at drawing but this is at least good and fast too.
