Hello there, people of the jolt.
Chris here! Surprised?
Well, John’s on a contract somewhere close to Japans southern coastline. Apparently, there are spirits there, that need to be put to rest. Something of that description. So it’s my job today, to fill you in on all the juicy details about the latest development on The Vrennman Case.
Most importantly, after … probably almost three years in development, Ellen, Johns ghost companion, finally got some proper animations. As you can see above. The graphics guy finally got around animating her. It came out slightly differently than John had anticipated, as far as I can tell, but he was satisfied with the result all the same. So that’s cool.
There also has been a lot of work going on for making the place come to … uh. Life. I guess. Most NPCs are dead by most common definitions of the word but you get the picture. You can interact with a lof of things in the game and sometimes the reactions of John and Ellen will be different, depending on what you saw before the interaction or what you did or not did.
There is also an ongoing efford by the graphics guy to improve the overall looks and mood of the setting and, of course, John is always busy implementing all the weird puzzles the Vrennman cult has implemented into its residence to keep intruders away. Or at least kill them!
And that, good people, concludes the progress so far.
We’re closing in on finishing the underground demo level.
After all puzzles are in place, there will be passes to set up soundscapes and adjust the lighting where necessary.
Cheers,
Chris
