Greetings, all! And, ungreetings to 2018! Might be a bit late on that, but oh well. While we haven’t had many devlogs, that is because we are at a point where we are in a “no spoils” section of the chapter. Last time we had a devlog, we had about 40 followers less than what we did now. That’s nuts! That also means we have a 350 follower special that is coming up soon, which will detail a couple new systems in the game. So, let us start off todays devlog!
-The Sprite Redo-
Royal Bones: Faded Failure has never had looks as its first priority. But, now that we are around half way (or even more) of chapter 1 being done, I thought it was time to resprite a couple things. And by a couple things, I mean EVERYTHING! Didn’t you find the grey to be a bit tacky?
As you can see here, The Ruined got a complete makeover, as well as the textboxes! Plus, Flowey got a brand-new design. Also, updated save sprite.
Speaking of Flowey…
The room you meet him in has gotten some big changes! Now, you remember the Tunnels?
Now it comes with torches (that give off embers), water dripping from the ceiling, and dust floating around. That’s all to show for sprites right now, but there are new battle buttons that will be shown next devlog.
-Other News-
Some other news on development…
The Wilted Castle is getting scrapped in place of a unique minigame with several variations. I won’t reveal it, but it is similar to Night 4 of FNaF Sister Location. Also, Clicker Game v2.0 is being made as a side game that is accesible in RBFF, and will run in the background of playing the main game.
