Hello everyone!
Today is my 5th year on this platform. I actually cannot believe that it's been this long! I guess time really flies.. :')
5 years ago, I joined this site to download some FNAF fan games I saw from other Youtubers. (they were a big deal to me back then xd)
I met some really nice friends in a couple of days and I just didn't want to leave the website, even after my interests in downloading games were gone.
I then got interested in the idea of making video games, but I actually didn't know how to make one so I somehow found my first engine: RpgMakerVXAce and I created my first games on there. They were not good but at least I was proud of something in my life for once. xd (Spoiler alert: I lost all of the files for my first games due to a trojan later on.)
I then switched my game engine a few more times until I found the one that I thought would suit me well. I made some wacky fan games/games including titles like "Dr. Weed Gaster", "Get Goof'd!" , "Protect Gaster" and more. I made over 20 games in 5 years but most of them were either not complete or didn't exceed my expectations to be published. I currently have 9 published games on the site.
Besides game development, I met amazing people, people that would inspire me to keep continuing with game development. I also kinda got involved in some drama over the years that I was not so proud of.
Gamejolt is the only social platform I use daily for years, I don't remember being absent from Gamejolt for a week. I love to check updates, read your comments and chat with other people.
With the addition of new features to the site, the experience is just getting better and better but this is all thanks to the community and the staff.
With my Undertale fan game DR. WEED GASTER entering the final testing sessions on Discord, I would like to announce that I will be taking a decent break from game development after its release. I know it's not that important and all but I just wanted to state that out.
Games heavily consume my time. With school, it's hard to get on the computer and work on games. I still don't want to give up on this, however, so I'll be continuing to make weird games during seasonal breaks.
If it wasn't for the Gamejolt community, DR. WEED GASTER would've been 80% canceled from now. The community managed to support and motivate me in a way that I would sit in my uncomfortable chair and continue to develop a game that I had lost motivation months ago with determination.
Thank you.
Thank you for making me the person who I am today.
I'll never forget my experience with this site.
I just wish everyone on the site would be friendly towards developers, instead of being impatient and toxic.
I guess I'm lucky to have you all as my friends, 245 friends.
Again, thanks for your support, I'll see you in the public release in DR. WEED GASTER.
Take care and stay weedy.

It's a baguette, what did you expect? :)
