Kirby: Wacky Episode

54 seconds of pure destruction. WIP.
#kirby #fangame

And a quick message to everyone. The game has changed course a lot over its lifespan, becoming a bit bolder and shaping up to its own identity. I understand some fans might be taken aback by just how much fresher it feels. For some, it may be a good or bad thing and that's okay, not every game is for everyone. Part of the challenge in the reinvention process is to make the whole thing still feel like Kirby at its core, and you'd be surprised by how much I actually want to stretch that limit. More changes are coming, I can even say there's a new design decision in the works that will make you see the impact of the level design and the usage of speed & flow in a brand new light.

Whether you're an old fan of the project who's been there from the beginning (Kirby Engine Demo gang rise up!!!), joined after experiencing version 0.3 of the Wacky Episode or you're just now learning about this fangame, I thank you all for the support and chance you've given Kirby & The Eternal Paradise. It's been quite the journey so far... And we're only getting started!

"Alex, that's the 6th time you've shown Kirby rolling this month..." Me, for a 7th time:

Hello, I'm recreating the engine of Zelda: Oracle of Ages/Seasons for use in my original fangames. Here's a 2 minutes showcase for many of the items I've developed so far!

Small teaser for a certain Magical Boomerang. Still a tricky but powerful item to maneuver! And with that I'll be taking a break for a few days, for obvious reasons I imagine.

Happy #WIPWednesday!

Are you working on a game?

Making some art?

Practicing a song?

Something else?

Tell us in the comments!

With the Fire Rod, you can burn (almost) everything! BURN IT ALL! #zelda #fangame #gamedev #pixelart

A very quick and silly Kirby doodle I made in Inkscape while experimenting with a tablet setup; thought he was too silly not to share.

I've been using Inkscape for about 15 years, but have never bothered with the tablet features until now.

Announcing a name change for the project and a big step in a new direction: The complete project files are available for game makers to download! I'm leaving the entirety of this project in the hands of the community.

Been a year since I started this Zelda project... So here's 3 minutes of Link digging holes. Will he find anything???

...No he won't, but it's still fun, right?

you got this!

Feeling some creative "block", so here's the last vid for a bit, featuring the Cane of Somaria. Projectiles from A Link to the Past have also been added to this version!
