Game
Ix and the Dark Mage

A long time has passed

It has been a while since my last post to this devlog, and I hadn’t even realised it. There were some issues with the way that things were going with the original version of the game, so I took a step back and branched everything off to see if I could switch things around a bit to make it a better experience.

Thankfully I found the graphics that I wanted which fit more with the style of the game that I actually wanted to be working on, and it didn’t take me too long to swap out some of the game mechanics.

Ix and the Dark Mage now has a faster feel to it with ranged weapons instead of the original sword only, and with dashing and other states in place it definitely feels a faster and nicer game.

There is still quite a way to go to get it to a state where I can show of more details, but the very next thing to have working (hopefully this week) will be the basis of the enemy states and dynamic movement/patrolling.
