Sorry if this post is a little messy, it's the first time that I even do a post on Game Jolt. So, I will announce a new card game project for Undertale! I'm using Game Maker Studio 2 to be closer to the original game. I've being working alone on this whole project for only one week, but I think I can make a good work, even for a card game. This is a quick screenshot on the menu.
●About the Details and Content!
The 1.0 Version will include:
-More than 100 Cards;
-More than 10 Leaders (I will talk about them);
-6 Tutorials with a Normal Battle;
-Various Translations;
-Some cards Art Variants and Sleeves.
WARNING: Just like I said, I'm working alone on this project, so some assets or other contents are not originally made by me. ALL used content that I don't own will be properly credited inside the game and outside the game archives! If some of these people want to have their content removed, they can talk with me on my social medias to remove them.
●How it Will Work?
I can only talk about the basics for now! You will build a deck with exactly 60 Cards, with the varieties given (Basic Attacks, Special Attacks, Supports, Monsters, and others). At the same time, you will need to choose 3 Leader Cards! These Leader Cards don't count for the 60, but you need to build your deck around them. The Leader Cards can only be Boss/Monster Type and Human Type. Well, you can also opt for using only 1 or 2 Leader Cards, or be forced by cards like Omega Flowey that can only be the one Leader Card, but of course you gain advantages because of that by rules.
Basic Attack cards can be added to your deck as you wish, but other cards only 4 copies can be added!
●About Originality.
The card game is highly based on the original content of Undertale story and proposal. Cards like Frisk (The Pacifist Version), Toriel and Papyrus can't defeat opponents cards by dropping their HP to 0, but in other manners! I'll be careful to respect Undertale and make a card game based on it, also having the inspiration by other card games like Magic, Yu-Gi-Oh and Pokémon TCG.
That's all for now! Sorry for not posting more details, the game and the card ideas are still in production! The next post I'll make will be the game trailer (coming in 2024) and the cards itself, discussing battle mechanics and other aspects! Have a great time!
