Hey peeps, I’m not dead, surprisingly. I’m just not active on any new games.. Yet.
I’m in a period of learning, lots an’ lotsa learnin’. What am I learning? Well, I’m glad you asked random person viewing this article.
You see, I’m basically learning a ton of things regarding Video Game making all together. Not just in how to program, but in art, in music/audio, and in animation.
It’s really exciting to be able to try these new things and improve on them as well, knowing that as I get better I get closer to being able to create something in my vision. I become joyed knowing that eventually I can finally return here with something that will out do what I’ve done before, and be able to bring you guys something in which you can enjoy, and can grow a happy little community.
I can’t thank any of you enough for the experience you gave me during my time with Freddy’s Adventure. It may have just been some silly Five Nights at Freddy’s fangame, but that era was more special to me than what’s on the surface. The memories and the community that was built from that game is what matters most to me, and I can easily say that those were one of the best times of my life, especially after how things have gone afterwards.
Anyways, I’m excited to share that the reason for me building up on all this skill related stuff is obviously for the fact that I’m making new games! I have one main ORIGINAL project in the works right now, it’s early in development and no true programming has been done yet, but we have a plethora of concepts, early music, designs, and story. It’s something I’m really confident in at the moment, and is a BIG improvement on how I made Freddy’s Adventure. Whereas that, I just made up everything as I went along. There was no huge lore planned from the beginning, I just thought “hey, this seems cool, I should add it as a feature” and thus I created a bunch of future plot holes and difficulties in expanding the plot haha.
Back on topic, this new game plans to be a sort of action rpg/combo fighting type game, inspired by Legend of Zelda. Basically, you have the action rpg elements like Zelda, but when you attack you can chain attacks with multiple light attacks and one heavy. Now of course, something like this isn’t possible on RPG Maker, which is why I’m moving on to Game Maker to make this game! It’s a really neat program and I’ve used it quite a bit in the past, I’m excited to be using it in the future.
fun fact: the game was originally inspired off of and is now a remake of an old fnaf world fangame by my pal. While this may seem like it won’t be original, we’ve gotten rid of every fnaf element to the game, and the characters are now very much more original compared to their previous animatronic fnaf like counterparts.
I don’t want to spoil too much, since it’s still early in development, and I don’t want to make any promises I can’t keep. Even the things I said now may be subject to change, however the things I’ve specified are part of the plan.
With that being said, I hope you enjoyed this announcement, and I hope that I can continue to excite you guys with further announcements and updates down the line!
Overall, this was just an update of what I’ve been up to, and to also test out these new handy posts here on Gamejolt! With these posts I can now make more free and general posts about what I’m up to, instead of limiting it to just Freddy’s Adventure, which I am very generous for!
More updates will be coming as things progress!
Thank you so much for reading, and I hope you have a great day!
