'A RE-THINK..'

I’ve built up a bit of the maze and started the blender player.. It gets around 5-10 fps. As far as I know, this is a limitation of blender, but I don’t have the time (or in some cases, money) to learn a new engine or code language. However, this doesn’t mean ‘game over’ for this game - it just means a re-think.

This re-think will be about how the game is going to have to play - since I can’t have too much geometry in one scene. An obvious solution may be what used to be done in slightly older games, when one map was split into sections and loaded separately. This could be done. Or, I may have a smaller map, but more maps to compensate. I could have a house map; a maze; a garden - anything. And it could mean I would have to find some clever way to link them together for the sake of a continuital story (for story mode).

I’m not quite sure how I’m going to do it at the moment, but I will experiment with ideas and keep you posted. Also, any ideas of your own would be greatly appreciated as well! :)

Thanks for reading,

Shoobies leave a sticky trail of mucus in their wake, which can impede movement for any creature that steps in it.

It nicely separates the snowy biome from the grassy one.

It's built with painted Ebonstone.
