A Satanic Movement Prototype

A games needs nice visuals, but for us gameplay comes first.

So while we prepare visuals on one end of the project we’re investing most time into coding up the actual game mechanics in the background. So this is a movement prototype that we finished very recently.

It took quite some time to find an approach the we both liked, so we went through 3 completely different prototypes (several iterations and lots of code each) in the process, but it was worth all the trouble. Although the prototype is only about the movement - its already lots of fun! Can you imagine a taxi that is fun to navigate a narrow path of ramps and walkways with? Well neither can we, but somehow we still made one! I can’t wait to se racing down a long street and crashing through stuff! :D

Next up is @damagefilter writing about his level-creation for the prototype and the tools he used. See you very soon!

If you find this project interesting, give it a follow - you won’t be disappointed! ;)

Here's a peaceful little forest scene for this #screenshotsaturday, from the beginning of the game.

Heya! I wanted to show some gameplay progress i made so far. I hope you like it ^^

What you all think

In the quest for accessibility, I'm adding Resurrection Shrines for players on the 'novice' end of the platforming spectrum.

In order to unlock the power of a Shrine, you must collect 3 'Souls' from your dead corpses! (the floating blue orbs)

Demonstration of the spells and their effects :)!

Let me introduce you to the new Mech line: Gendai Spec. Those are Mech that specializes in surprise attacks, covered operations, and stealth. They are equipped with melee weapons but one of Gendai's frames supports sniper rifles.

I mostly build 3D First Person Shooter game mechanics in Unity, and in this I'm just showing C4 mechanics I made for a little side project I am working on! :)
