A couple of years ago, we were about to finish the first version of our towers, when from our community came an idea.
Our Twitter follower @Axios , that had been amazing in providing feedback, testing and helping in every possible way, asked us: “But if enemies do come from the sky, why can’t the player have some air-based defense as well”?
An innocent enough question hiding all the power of the feature creep. We have been amazing at resisting new ideas, but this one was too yummy. In less than one month we had a new artillery tower sporting a semi-movable hot air balloon on top.
The Balloon has 5 bombs and endless arrows and it can be deployed manually anywhere in the range of the tower. It drops bombs when at least 2 enemies are in the area, shoots them all the time with arrows otherwise, and returns automatically to the tower to refill and repair (can also be sent manually).
