this week I wanna show you the most changeable feature of this game, the Drinking mechanics. It’s a good story, you should drink something.

Trago starts at 2016 in a Global Game Jam themed ritual, we create this game thinking about this guy called Juca who goes to a bar everyday (that’s the ritual). The mistery story came to create a propose to the gameplay and the drinking mechanics to entertain the user until the final of the story.
The biggest problem was, we used a repetitive click mechanics on the drinking gameplay, most of the people went bored before rich the end.
The first “playable” version.
In this next version we stop using the mouse as input on the drinking gameplay. Besides that we decided to create a sense of progression adding new keys to the keyboard sequence. Everytime you take a shot, the player should hit the right key on the right timing to take a glup and progress to the next key.
We also contextualize the drinking mechanics making it pay the phone calls, so you have to drink to call. This version is certanly better than the GGJ version, we create a lot of dialogues on the gameplay, we have a better gameplay to drink but not the ideal. People are still confused in how to play the game.
