Hey there, ITKS fans! To break in our new blog, we’re going to be doing a series of fun little informational posts about the team and the stuff they’re excited about. Since E3’s just getting started, we figured it was the perfect topic to kick things off!
There was a wide range of opinions from the team regarding what they wanted to see this year. Our co-founder Mark Biundo said he’d love to see Bethesda tackle a new sci-fi RPG since he thinks “they could do a gritty open solar system space western pretty well.” This prompted a longer Bethesda-centric conversation between some of the team members. There was some mixed reception to the recent announcement of Fallout 76, but there was also a lot of interest in continuing the Fallout franchise itself. Artist Dan Howard said, “If another studio wanted to take another crack at Fallout like they did with New Vegas, I’d be on board.” Mark also added he’d love to see a Fallout game with multiplayer on a smaller scale—something he and co-founder Jessica Fong could play together.
Jessica is particularly interested in seeing lots of indie games announced this E3. She specifically wants to see “games with breadth/diversity/levels” that break the expectation that mainstream indie games need to be of AAA quality. Both Mark and Marketing/PR Manager Catherine Litvaitis agreed with this, and Mark added that he finds that Microsoft in particular has a good history with showcasing indie games at E3. He’s glad to see Nintendo and Sony catching onto this trend as well.
Catherine also expressed she really wanted a US release date for the Persona 3 and 5 rhythm games, but much to her excitement shortly after this interview was conducted, their release date was revealed to be in early 2019.
That’s all we have for you for now! We’ll be back on Tuesday with more exciting tidbits about the development team. Until then, have a good weekend, and we hope all your E3 wishes are granted!
Is there anything that you’re hoping to see this E3? Let us know in the comments!
