Abstract Arena v1007 has just been released!

Strap in securely, ladies and gentlemen, doors to manual and cross check… Abstract Arena update v1.007 is here! We’ve got a number of changes for you, so sit back and enjoy the ride. Just make sure you watch out for that sneaky Purple ship.

Primarily, this update brings a whopping 13 maps – yes, you heard right – to wreak havoc in, along with some lovely background artwork to gaze at dreamily in this top-down arena multiplayer shooter. Each map is aesthetically simple, yet has been cunningly designed with moving obstacles and a variety of random powerups to play with. Nothing says fun like desperately trying to race your opponent to a powerup before crashing ingloriously into an asteroid, right? Yep, we thought so too!

The player heads up display, or HUD, has been overhauled to make it easier to understand in the heat of battle. Thanks to the addition of handy cooldown bars for powerups, as well as primary and secondary weapons, you can time your attacks to perfection. Or perhaps, if you’re anything like us, watch your health bar rapidly dwindle with growing dismay.

Speaking of displays, the main menu has had a new paint job, making it easier to navigate and just a bit more snazzy. There have also been a number of minor bug fixes and balances, just so everything is as smooth as the bonnet of a Porsche.

Stay tuned for future updates where glorious things will be added, such as an online multiplayer mode for Arena, a gripping Story mode for all you singleplayer fans, as well as a variety of extras.

In the meantime, please download v1.007 and tell us what you think! Over and out.
