Final Orbit 2

Adding much needed menus ahead of early access! Also, Final Orbit 2 now has a home on my official website. Read all about it!

The menus in Final Orbit 2 have been a bit botched up until now. I haven't really needed them much, being the developer and all. I'm starting to think a user friendly interface might be needed.

So far, there are only options for turning off the post-processing effects (such as bloom and lighting) for performance purposes. I know the pain of having a laptop that doesn't like anything fancy (the one I'm working on right now) so I like to add ways to switch off unnecessary polish.

In other news, Final Orbit now has a dedicated page on my website. It has a whole new independent design, completely free of any of my branding.

Final note: The image above says that Earth's population is 100... That's because the population is not fixed. We can change the population on the fly to adapt to fluctuations in real life population. I may well even utilise an API to make the in-game population dynamic and more accurate. I haven't yet found an API that will simply return the world's total population but I'm looking into it.

The Windows version crashes... play the HTML5 version for now. I've programmed a fix for it, I'll release the patch soon!

I'm now trying to fix the weird floating box... it doesn't appear in the HTML5 version, only the Windows.

Final Orbit on the Nokia 3310?

I really must congratulate the first official player of Final Orbit 2 for their committal!

Gearing up for early access! Also, sorry the game (and my account) keep vanishing. Allow me to explain...

It's all coming together! I'm ahead of schedule.

The options are functional and, you may have noticed, you are now able to log in using your Game Jolt username and game token.

The story of 'Going Down' is falling into place nicely. The visuals are looking lovely. The atmosphere is spooky with more than a touch of mystery.

I am very happy with progress!
