Gearing up for early access! Also, sorry the game (and my account) keep vanishing. Allow me to explain...

Early Access is approaching!

Life has been fairly full-on recently! Video games are not my full time occupation- not a even close. I am a theatre producer and that job is like a time vacuum. Like game development, producing a play requires a huge amount of work up front before you see a hint of income. Despite everything, I've set aside time to work on a couple of games (I've been calling it a hobby)

In the lead-up to early access, I have added a little tutorial and a lighting engine. The original game had a lighting engine- I hadn't planned on adding a lighting engine to the sequel but I added one anyway! I've also made the decision to make all post-processing elements optional. You can turn them off in settings. This was implemented because my laptop is old and hates video games.

Another thing! My account keeps being automatically banned. Game Jolt are aware of this and are kindly looking into the issue. My thanks go out to them for their help. They have restored this cursed account three or four times now, it can't be fun. If this happens again, find me at lukefruin.co.uk. You can find my social profiles from there so there's always somewhere to keep up with development.

Adding much needed menus ahead of early access! Also, Final Orbit 2 now has a home on my official website. Read all about it!

Taking its time, but not forgotten...

The story of 'Going Down' is falling into place nicely. The visuals are looking lovely. The atmosphere is spooky with more than a touch of mystery.

I am very happy with progress!

Now that the core mechanics are in place, my focus today was adding some visual polish. I added a touch of bloom. In the top left, you can see the deeper mechanics coming together. I'm aiming to have an early playable build up soon. End of the week?

I really must congratulate the first official player of Final Orbit 2 for their committal!

The Windows version crashes... play the HTML5 version for now. I've programmed a fix for it, I'll release the patch soon!

I'm now trying to fix the weird floating box... it doesn't appear in the HTML5 version, only the Windows.

Screenshot Saturday!

Going Down, psychological horror RPG about difficult choices and memories best forgotten on an elevator ride.

There are some nice scores. I’m still champion though.
