Alright, for Alpha Demo V2, it’ll focus on some enhancements and fixes.

Things I’ll try fix or add do based on criticism I received:

  • Cutscenes needs a skip button to skip all of it entirely (especially when playing it the second time or more).

  • Softlock issues after dying during boss fight.

  • Enemy swarms (I did put in a limit but I guess I should lower the count more).

  • Players over-damage the bosses at a short time before they do any real damage.

  • Infinite fall from edge of screen.

  • Shoot and dash while floating in mid air.

Comment down if you got anything else that could be reproduced.

There is one thing I do want to address, though. And it’s the engine.

I know the engine is not the best thing ever due to infinite amount clips and stuff. I do have the same problem, too. I don’t know why it happens, because in V0LT City, the same engine was used but never clips. So, I’m guessing it was the levels since I took a different turn to them. Instead of overdoing a single costume for a level, I split them into pieces and put them together via clones. I tried fixing the clipping issue before I released the demo, but my efforts really hurts the performance of the game, like it makes the gameplay laggier.

Then again, this is a game made just for fun and for the sake of my old series I made when I was a teenager, and speed was the priority over quality because of you know what.
