as you may have noticed fredric's parasect has an item called the "weakness bond" what this does is if the user is taken down by a super effective move the user will take the opponent with it, for example, if a magmar uses flamethrower on the parasect and takes it down, the magmar will feint as well

fredric: as a character

fredric: is a drug dealer that sells illegal spores during the dead of night (hence why most of his team is mushroom themed) during the day he can be seen getting high off of spores and smoking rolled up oddish joints, he also sells the back flesh of his appletun, which is a rare delicacy in the area he lives in and he plans on making it his backup job if he gets caught, his team uses a lot of rain because the sudden water falling on his face momentarily gets him out of his high and focused enough to actually battle
