cody is what is known as a legend hunter, a type of trainer that seeks out the rare and powerful legondaries of their respective regions, cody happens to be from kalos. cody's right arm was replaced with a snag machine that increases his catching prowess, however he won't hesitate to use it on you, if you lose to him he will steal one of your pokemon and use it against you when you rematch him
