I’ve noticed that it’s taking me about a month or so for me to complete an act of the game or work on the extra additions to the update that it’s in. All in all, it takes me about three months to make an update to the game, and maybe even less if I’m lucky. That’s a bit too long, to say the least.
I’ve been wondering about the idea of releasing beta versions of the game - that is, short versions of the next update. I’m getting incredibly close to finishing up Act 11, and it wouldn’t be a bad idea to publish a version of the game containing that, as well as several other things planned for its update. Depending on how development on Act 12 goes, I might release that as a beta a month or so after Act 11.
So… what do you guys think? Should I release Betas of this update (and maybe v1.0), or should I just stick to a big update that takes longer to do? If you agree to the idea, I guess I’ll see you on Tuesday. (That’s the expected release date of v0.8 Beta 1, if it goes through.)
