You probably didn't expect to see someone like me here, correct? Well, that's because I'm one of the lucky few to get an early copy of Stanley's: Rebooted! But before we move on with the review a quick warning, this game version is in very early playtesting. As RlizLaFFY said, "It's far from finished, but playable."
Gameplay
When I first played Stanley's: Rebooted, I was a bit confused by the animatronics mechanics, but I could figure it out through some trial and error. From what I saw, I suck and could only get like 2-ish AM, the game is pretty unique and different. Yes, there's a door on your left and right, but this game does them differently enough that it feels unique. Instead of the animatronics going straight to your door, they move in "stages" giving you time to see them further down the hallway and to start mentally planning. But why you may ask you need to mentally plan, well that's because Sparky, the fox one, will appear in front of you. When he appears you must hide under the desk and wait for footsteps. Which I think adds some tension to the night!
Graphics/Polish
Well, it's no surprise but Stanley's: Rebooted's visuals are amazing! Not only the animatronics but the polish of the game and the environment. The game's look and feel remind me of very early fnaf games, like animatronics being able to seemingly disappear, or with some of them being hard to see causing you to squint and question yourself. The movement in the office is also very smooth and feels great to just look around and mess with the buttons. There's also a light mechanic to look down the halls, which also feels amazing to use and just screw around with. The jumpscares are also very scary in this game too, I don't have a screenshot. But before dying to Sparky he'll just stand in front of you, which makes it a lot more scary and tense.
Conclusion
In summary, the game has very stunning visuals with even better movement feeling. While the game could use some polish in some places, mostly the AI, it feels fun to play and serves as an even more fun challenge. I don't know what RilzLaFFY likes to call you guys. So I guess until next time, I'll see you later my Stantlers!
