I’ve been working a lot on Banned Memories lately and I have changed and added loads of stuff to the game. These changes have not been applied to the currently playable demo version of the game, but will be present in the final product which is coming along very nicely.
Thanks to all your feedback I’ve been able to improve the things that required immediate attention as well as some minor issues that people had been having.
On a quick note, this is not the progress I’ve made over the course of 1.5 years. I had already made a different version that I lost due to a computer problem. This is what I’ve made since December 21st 2016.
What I’ve added:
Run function
Strafe function
Backwards walking function
Ten new rooms to explore (planning on at least 100 accessible rooms)
Five new tracks have been added to the games OST
Shotgun
Three new puzzles
CG intro
What I’ve removed:
All of the key-hunting. The player will need to solve puzzles to open doors. Most of the doors are already open though. The player will have access to all of the keys currently available in the game, so the locking mechanic will be there to stay.
Player character model. He’s gone and has been replaced by a more vivid looking character.
Monster. I’m currently working on my own designs. Consider the one in the demo a tribute to SH2. I found that one to be the creepiest in the entire franchise.
That’s it for now.
I may have forgotten some stuff, but I also don’t want to spoil anything.
Thank you all for following the game and supporting me!
Noah
