Hello!
It has been awhile since I released the demo for the game so I thought I would make a post to mention some of the progress I have made since then. This may be a little long, so here’s a gif to start off!
Unfortunately, I have been pretty busy the last few months which has slowed down progress on the game. I am still working on getting the next demo out, which will be about fighting the titan rather than time trials or things like that. That way I can get your feedback on him and see what works and what doesn’t.
The change log is really long and affects pretty much everything so I’ll just mention the main stuff here. Most of the time has been spent getting the titan into the game and functioning, but I’ve also reworked the bursting and attacking.
The Titan (or… K-k-kyojin!!!):
It’s been a bit challenging to put him together, but he’s coming along! He still needs a bit of work to get him ready for a demo, but I don’t think its far off. The player detection and attacking are working well enough, and he manages to catch me pretty often. I think now I just need to get him walking around a bit!
And yes, he may look a bit silly right now (they are giant naked people after all), but he gets the job done! :D

Bursting:
The vertical bursting is now activated by holding down the burst keys rather than double tapping, and it runs until you let go (or you ‘overheat’ and need to let the tank refill). So it should be easier to use and a lot more helpful for mobility and combat.
Also, bursting while hooked on no longer retracts the cables, so you can use bursts to gain extra speed for swinging around obstacles or titans.

Attacking
The attack has been changed to a toggle to try and make it less awkward to use. So pressing the attack key activates the attack and you don’t have to hold it down. This frees up a finger for other important things like avoiding getting eaten.
While activated the attack will automatically release when near the titan’s nape so all you have to focus on is getting there. Also you can deactivate it by pressing the key again and it will not release the attack.
The attacking is now correctly animated as well, depending on the direction you approach the nape from and how fast.

Well, that’s that! I’m sorry I don’t have a demo ready for you guys to try out right now. I’m not sure exactly when it will be ready but I will try to get it out as soon as I can. I want to make sure that it isn’t too buggy and broken though, and that it is actually fun.
I really appreciate all the suggestions and feedback, it is really helpful to me and some of the changes in the latest version of the game are from great suggestions from you guys, so thank you!
