Hey guys!
I’m making this devlog just to tell you guys that I’m not dead, and that development is definitely not halted.
To address a few things, I’ll start off with the upcoming 3.0 update for Chapter One. This will be the last major update for the chapter, and from then I will only be releasing hotfixes as well as improvements for the upcoming game mode until I decide to end support for the chapter.
The big update will fix a lot of bugs/glitches and improve the AI’s detection system. There won’t be anymore glitchy hiding spots that would give you unfair advantage. The update will also of course feature the ‘Arcade’ game mode, which is still in development. There’s one major bug that I have to fix, although that shouldn’t be much of a problem.
The real problem is the cutscenes rewarded after completing a challenge in Arcade, as a few of them might be complex and take extra time. I can’t work on these as of now, due to my wait for voice actors. That means Arcade is currently being put on hold until the VA’s are found.
Aside from this, the first build of the Arcade release itself is doing well. It includes 6 challenges, 3 for both modes. There’s currently only 2 modes, although 3 are planned. While the cutscene rewards are still being worked on, you are currently rewarded with a plushie on your desk upon completing the challenge (up to 6 plushies), and a golden animatronic head on the menu when you complete a hard challenge.
As for the upcoming Chapters, they are being developed simultaneously right now. I won’t say how many there are, but a ton of work has already been done for them. The map of Chapter II is almost complete, and it’s story script is fully written out. I’m currently focusing on the gameplay, and then cutscenes.
