This toxicity needs to stop. It’s awful and shameful. Look at what it’s done to me. Everything goes well when I upload fanart that everyone wants to see, but as soon as I upload my SMTR comic, a project that I have spent two years working on, it gets too much negative feedback immediately. All I did was post the cover, and things started to fall apart. Nobody deserves to go through what I did. Nobody. If someone wanted to share their art to others, they should be praised, not shunned. Nd even if they get negative feedback, it should be constructive criticism, not harassment. Art is an expression of yourself. It is who you are. And when someone goes and just describes your art as cringy and disgusting, it can hurt. Words should be used to encourage people, not to make them feel like crap. That’s why I left, because despite having 250 followers and receiving lots of support, it wasn’t enough to combat the harsh words that were said to me. Yes, I should just ignore them, but as we all know, that’s easier said than done. Anyway, I came back to say that this madness has got to stop. Game jolt needs to get itself together. It needs to stop banning people for no reason. It should act quickly to ban toxic people instead of waiting forever. It, as a community, needs to come together and get rid of toxicity. And yes, it won’t be permanent. Someone will always try to screw things up for everyone, but something still needs to change. Everyone here is so sick and tired of all the drama. This should be a place where everyone is accepted, but clearly, it’s not. So, in conclusion, I suggest you spread the #EndToxicity and help out others in need, because these days, we all need some support."

#BeRespectful and actually make these hashtags count for something. Don't just use them willy nilly saying : "oh yes, #bEreSpEctFuL is a good hashtag" NO!

If you're going to post about this, actually think about what you post, and think about what you can do, and how YOU can improve to try to make Game Jolt a better place.

And yes, YOU CAN improve.

Don't leave the improvement to just the worst of us.

Lead by example.

Oh, and if you're just making a joke post with garbage cans and the #EndToxicity hashtag, that's different, I just don't want people making posts with JUST the hashtag. It doesn't mean anything.

Please.

Please ACTUALLY do something.

Maybe there's only a tiny bit you can do, but if there's even somthing ANYTHING you can... all those little somethings will add up into something BIG.

It can.

It has!

If we come together, sure, it'll never be perfect, but it can always get better, and at the same time, there's always the potential for things to get worse.

It's easy to leave it somebody else.

To say, someone else will take care of this.

But if we all say that, then nobody will.

So instead, each of us has to say to ourselves "maybe there isn't much I can do, and maybe there is, but whatever I can do to make things just a little bit better, I will".

Things have a tendency to get more corrupt over time, People get tired, and morals become relaxed, but not if we hold strong. It's not easy, in fact, it's really hard, and we'll always fail from time to time, but if we earnestly try to always do the right thing, and to do our very best, it can have a big impact.

So...

Just do that.

Just do your best.

That's all I'm asking, and that's all I expect, but please.

Please try.
