And we're back, Long time coming (Dev Log #9)

Its been a long time since I picked up this project I thought I had lost all motivation for it but here we are again now 7 months later and I’ve decided to keep working on it. First of all the original hub design is gone

This is what the old hub world looked like

And now here is a GIF of the new hub world along with a work in progress menu

(A better looking MP4 can be found here)

As you can see everything has been made nice and seamlessly connected (With only a few glitches noticable if you look really carefully but they might hopefully be gone by the time we reach release), Every level has an entrance and an exit and you can leave a level at any time by going out the same way you came in you’ll appear right back at the hub.

The way this is achieved is at the start of the game it quickly loops through every single level and captures an image of it saving it to a sprite, And when you get close to the level in the corridor it is drawn connected (That’s why it’s not animated when you first see it and then everything pops in once you transition to the actual room) Same with the exits I just take a sprite of what the level looks like around the exit and draw it connected to the corridor and use a fade in wall so the player can’t go back and see the cheese

The 3 pathes you see at the beginning (As I go down the middle one) Will be used for multiple save files I’m still working on that it’s not ready to go yet but it will be eventually.

Basically I’m making a bunch of QoL Improvements slowly as I regain my motivation for this project and hope to have more devlogs to share in the future. If you have any suggestions for the game any at all feel free to just comment them below or hit me up on twitter.

Just as Pecaminosa's musicians #improvise this rendition of #LittleSunflower 🌻, so do we improvise with this post you're reading. 😂

What's coming out of your own improvs? 🤔

This Satuday we invite to watch another #speedpainting of our artist Daniel Faiad.

How great is this scene of #Pecaminosa?

Shoobies leave a sticky trail of mucus in their wake, which can impede movement for any creature that steps in it.

🍒Did you like the game? A demo is available for free on Steam.

Sometimes the suction cup get sticky. Small animation I made in Blender after doing my tutorial on picking up/dropping objects in animations. Crate model by jQueary (https://sketchfab.com/3d-models/game-ready-sci-fi-crate-d98deca6…).

Hi everyone! I started to create some environment props for my new video game, here is a cozy house in the forest. I'm planning to switch from Unity to Unreal... Let's see what new challenges I have to face. Made in Blender and Substance Painter.

Spaaaace~

These are background sprites I've created for a game I'm working on at school ^w^ Click on the post to see how the sprites connect. You won't regret it! (personally, I think it's pretty heheh)

Drawn in Piskel using my mouse. Whaddya think?
