Happy Secret of the Mimic day! Today, we're taking a closer look at Lefty! ...I'm sure you can find some way these two things somehow relate if you try hard enough.
Lefty is one of the game's many vent crawlers, though is by far the most unique out of all of them when it comes to his behavior. This is thanks to two special quirks of his:
Unlike other vent animatronics who typically move towards the audio lure, Lefty will always try to avoid it.
Unlike other vent animatronics who can be fooled my the mask, there's nothing you can do to push Lefty back if he gets to the vent opening.
While the other vent crawlers are pretty generous in regards to how you really only have to worry about them when they get to the vent opening, Lefty is much different, requiring your constant surveillance of the ventilation system to make sure he doesn't get too close. You'll need to move the audio lure around pretty often to repel him away from the office!
Because of how much attention he demands, Lefty can be a real jerk. Don't pick him up unless you're looking for a real challenge! (Although rumor has it that if you pay attention to his movement patterns, there may be a way to trap him in an infinite loop...)
Now, you may think that since Lefty isn't fooled by the mask, you might as well give up if he makes it to the vent opening - but don't lose hope! There are still a few ways to save yourself...so long as you have enough tokens.
If you're fast enough, you can buy and use the Deathcoin on Lefty as a last-ditch effort to avoid a game over, or block his jumpscare with a Beartrap. However, both of these options are rather expensive and come in limited supply, so if you can't afford either, you might as well just brace yourself for the inevitable.
