Happy Frickbear Friday! This week's spotlight is Mr. Hippo.
Mr. Hippo is a nonlethal vent animatronic - while he behaves very similarly to characters like Toy Bonnie or Withered Chica, moving through the vents at an average speed and needing the mask to be put on to turn him away, he DOES have two key traits that make him unique:
Unlike the other vent animatronics, who often loudly announce themselves as they approach the vent opening, Mr. Hippo is completely silent while in the vents. The only audio cue he'll give is the subtle sound of the vent banging.
If he gets into your office, instead of jumpscaring you, he'll initiate a lengthy monologue that could last anywhere from around 2 to 4 minutes. There's no way to stop this once he gets started - not even with a deathcoin.
Like the other vent characters, his AI level will determine how quickly he moves through the vents and how often he shows up in the opening - although regardless of his AI level, his monologues will always be just as long.
While you may think Mr. Hippo's inability to kill you would make him preferable to the other vent characters, don't underestimate him - his subtle audio cue can make him very easy to miss if a lot is going on. Pick him up if you've got a good ear - and you're prepared for him to talk it off!
