First off progress:

Yall' know I have made two dialouge sprites for Jack and Rosa, but those were made using Pixel art (app) sadly, money is a bit tight and if it goes well by friday/Monday I should actually get aseprite

Now, onto new characters added since last devlog

Rosa's readdition:

Rosa (originally named janet) was a character made close to DU's inception but was made deceased cannoticly to make Jack(at the time he was unnamed) a more tragic character

But now after 7 years I decided to add her back into the story and instead of making her Jack's friend, I also made her his Gf, this was decided because people would inevitably ship them /j

Rosa also has been given a even more major role as the secondary main character as you'll play as her a lot during the game.

She is the player in chapter 0.5.

Rosa as a character:

Rosa is a character that thinks of others well beings more than she does her own. She developed this trait early on in her life by her mother and it only got stronger when she met Jack as at thaybpoint he had just lost his father and later on his mother.

She is also is great at piano and painting, she studies ancient war techniques and history in general, her family is from from this world's version of Japan and her father taught her karate, or a thing similar.

She also moved in with Jack after he moved out of Rosas house.

Also, she is VERY interested in monsters and always wanted to find them...

Little does she know why that would happen

Random traits:

She's also an alcoholic, but alcohol is made with bacteria that aids in health but it still retains its addictive nature.

She also goes all out during holidays.

Jakes readdition

Jake's was actually the OG Chara figure here but after Peisma came along I wanted to add him in somehow.... but he originally was Jacks brother

I fixed this by making him his cousin who also moved in with him after flying from this world's version of Scottland

Jake as a character:

Jake looks like a stereotypical nerd, but while he is a nerd, no doubt about it, he's a more in depth person, not as much as his brother but that's due to him being much luckier than Jack

He studies technology and soul MAGIC and soul traits, the power that a soul controls and its inherent personality in that order, what he does not know is the significance the one his brother has.

Jack is very successful when it comes to his inventions and tests on souls of people who have passed but their souls remain.

He has also done enormous progress on the full understanding on LOVE, and is currently working on a machine that can bring those who were killed by murderers and bring those killed back from the dead using LOVE.

Ending thoughts:

As of right now, the human characters are my focus as I want to flesh them out first, and there might be more humans coming....
