I've been making rpgs for five years,half a decade was spent cracking up something out of pure boredom because i wanted to tell stories.
I went through a lot of stumbling and flopping on my face during said five years,wether it was with balancing,or writing
or both really.
My time spent being a dev has had its ups and downs,
for the longest time i've looked at AEN in shame
it did horrible during the jam and when it comes to my games
it was the one least talked about,
a lot of time was spent sulking and feeling resentful for even making it.
Yet after a year since its intital release,i don't regret making it
AEN was the story i wanted to tell and a story i'm happy i made,salvage means a lot to me as i spent better half of almost a year thinking about him and endo 01
they are very precious to me and so is AEN
despite all it's shortcomings,i consider it my best work from atmosphere and characterization perspective
i wanted a hopeless and depressive feel so i did everything i could to make you feel like that
I remember now the time spent on making AEN with joy,
the times i spent cracking up jokes with everyone
the times i spent sketching down maps
the times i spent making sprites for it
all of it was fun for me and if i could,
i would make AEN all over again.

Regardless,the game isn't abandoned
future updates are planned,being rather large in scale
let's begin with Salvage scenario.

Salvage will be able to visit all the Grey puppet locations,
some of them having bosses like the decayed interior walls
having a phantom puppet battle for your dildo equivalent

Additionally,the cut segments featuring The prototype
being past segments salvage dreams about showcasing prototype escape and eventual death

Prototype isn't a reskin of salvage as he gets his own unqie moveset alongside weapons/armor you can bring out for salvage to use post the dream segements

In addition,some cut content like the lab Security cameras will be added back in

Lastly,the dreamscape will be added in
a cut second hub salvage could've visited

Having the traditional fnafb style for the rooms,
alongside the picked up posters from the occultists hotel

unlocking new battles!

Here's frooby as a example with the mechanic of combo skills,yes i actually programed a working combo skill for him.

As for the grey puppet scenario?
No work has been done for it yet,
the plans are however to add in a proud mode which fleshes out guppet as character via flashbacks between segments
with additional content and bosses

There is additionally two scenarios left to do,those however will most likely only come up in upcoming years
due to both being rather large in scale

I want to end this post by thanking @Frashaw27 @swagtama alongside @NightmareDoom and @Flanny for helping out with making AEN,frash support in both balancing alongside writing was what kept me going
i had fun staying up late writing security interactions with him
and i was glad to be able to work with who i consider my best friend and would dare call a brother
in addition,i'm glad for all the help bless gave me once more
with coding in skills alongside fixing bugs,if it wasn't for him 50% of the shit i do skill wise wouldn't happen
Lastly,i want to thank baka for betatesting the game even when it was near the finish line
alongside flan for putting up with the rather buggy and messy Grey puppet scenario alongside helping balance it.

One of the main reason i finished AEN despite not having the will power to do so as i went through a really rough time IRL while making it,was so frash,bless,bakas and flan time spent helping with this didn't go to waste
