Answers to your Questions - [F.N.a.R]

Hey! Here is the answer to 7 questions I found interesting after collecting everything you asked!

Here we go!

1 . Have you practiced coding before this game?

(From @Tanner )

Games always fascinated me!
The first game I played that made me want to create a game was Eyes - The Horror Game by @ynka . I used PowerPoint to create similar games back in 2013. If some of you know that game, you probably recognized something similar in F.N.a.R… :)

Then came Scratch
From 2014 I did some fun stuff there, started to learn about coding, which was something totally new to me back then. Those who followed FNAF a long time ago might have heard of the “Punch Foxy in the face” game on scratch I made, which got some attention!

I made some several FNAF styled games there. There was also one I ported here on Gamejolt called “Strange Night at Scratch’s”, which I then removed. I think you can always search it up on Youtube there might still be some gameplays out there!

There was a huge gap between 2015 and end of 2017 in game-making, where I focused more on my Youtube channel, composing songs, making animations.
I got Clickteam Fusion during this summer holiday. I really put a lot of effort into learning how to use that software, and started mastering it quite quickly.

2 . What was the best in making/developing F.N.a.R?

(From @billywiz15 )

The best thing is obviously to see that your game works.
I played Roxy’s in the very early days, and I was testing the animatronics A.I’s.
You know, for those who developed FNAF games, with those little “squares” on the map showing where each mascot is, I was cautiously following how they’d been moving, jumping from one cam to another… Suddenly I got jumpscared by Croco, nearly having a heart-attack. He hadn’t been moving for I don’t something like since I launched the game, and then, for a reason, he gets in my office, scaring the heck out of me.

Heh I feel like Cawthon :)

And then this kept happening over and over again unless I totally turned him off, I eventually managed somehow to remove that glitch.
Rumors say that it might be still happening… :)

Then also I really liked to watch how my friends siblings and cousins get scared while playing the game. It’s just so cool, the number of people who got actually scared because of the game almost reaches a total of 0!

Still rising…

3 . Have you learned anything from making F.N.a.R?

(From @NotSonicyay2)

Yes, you can’t do a good game in 3 months…
#halloween2017 (for those who have been keeping an eye on the project since the beginning…)

4 . What inspired you to make Roxy(’s?) ?

(From @GoldenGamer83 )

I don’t get the question, if it’s for the whole F.N.a.R project, it was because I was joking with my sister about making a FNAF fan-game and getting to model 3D stuff, and because I was ambitious about creating a game.
I saw a lot of awesome games, but the best one I saw and the most inspiring one, to my mind, was Five Nights at Candy’s, @Emilmacko , a guy who worked alone on a project and made one of the most recognizable FNAF fan game series! That made me want to build my game up, just like he did!
An idol :)

If you asked about Roxy, I was trying to draw a squirrel, but then I failed, next I wanted to make “him” look like a dragon (cause they are cool), and finally making “her” look similar to Foxy. (Roxy changed gender overtime…)
Total failure. But it turned out well I don’t know! My cousin was the one who added the colors!
I drew Roxy on a huge paper, and she just colored it.

5 . Do you plan making other games?

(From @Wasteer)

Quite hard to tell…
It’s only about how much time I’ll have, and if I want (obviously) to create any FNAF fan game, or something that isn’t related to Freddy’s. I don’t know how I’ll feel about making games after F.N.a.R.’s completion, whether I would like to collaborate with other people, friends, forge a group and create something together.
That could be great!

If the game gets some attention, I could always consider doing something else, you know when you just feel proud and gather self-confidence.

Then again, it could also totally ruin everything, making me NEVER wanting to deal with anything related to game development, uninstalling Clickteam, deleting the folder called “Five Nights at Freddy’s Game” where I put all the files related to Roxy’s since the beginning (because yes, I created that folder before giving a name to my game).
Regarding the game’s name, I would be willing to discuss it with you, in another post…

6 . Will this game be a “classic fnaf” or a “semi-freeroam” fan game?

(From @MasterCandy)

Mainly static, but could be both… :)

7 . Do you like Truddy?

(From @ddemkoo )

Yes I do. Heh

So that’s it for now! Hope I answered some of your questions! Stay tuned!
