Anyone having trouble with the mechanics

To anyone having trouble with the mechanics here are the basics:

  • the shadow can be temporarily blinded by flashing him with the camera (right mouse + left mouse). This will make him unable to attack you for a few seconds, giving you the window to run pass him. However he’ll have to be very close for this.

  • you can also see him the same way, by holding up the camera and firing the flash. This will make him briefly visible. Check rooms like this before you go in. And listen to his breathing / footsteps.

  • before he sees you he’ll just wander around randomly, but the moment he spots you, he’ll chase you no matter what. He’ll always find you, so keep on the move.

  • He won’t go in extremely bright rooms, so these are like safe rooms. Just don’t get trapped in them, as some only have one way in and out.

  • the camera flash doesn’t wear out, so don’t worry about that. The flashlight battery, however, does. Look for batteries.
