Argh, a game that could've been harder


Hey everyone!

I’m excited to announce the “sequel” to Ugh: Argh! Probably not as excited about this are the screens, keyboards, and general furniture around you guys. They might need to be worried.

So, what does Argh add that Ugh doesn’t have?

Well, for starters, theres a whole extra level! That’s like, two times the gameplay? Something like that.

As requested, high scores are in! See who has the best time in the game, and who has the most deaths! This feature is only available for GameJolt users. If you don’t have an account, you can’t be added to the high scores! Get an account, you cretin!

This wasn’t requested, but I decided to add in some achievements too! Get ‘em if you’re a user. If not, GET AN ACCOUNT YOU CRETIN. Argh!

Next up there’s a lot more aesthetic changes, containing:

new colors

new fonts

new block sizes

Finally, there are some minor gameplay tweaks for the movement. I tried to get it working as smoothly as possible, but there are a couple of bugs around collision that are absolutely killing me. Ugh. I mean, ARGH.

So there’s a lot of nifty stuff in Argh! Play it!

Some time ago, we posted a screenshot of the Mexico level. A curiosity about it is that, like some other scenarios of the game, it was inspired by a real landscape, The Basaltic Prisms of Santa María Regla. It is one of the natural wonders of the country!
