Game
A Leap Forward

At the core of the game is the rabbit AI. ๐Ÿฐ

They make plans and find the best way to interact with the tools that you have provided and the given resources in the environment...

Say for example, the goal you give your rabbits is to gather wood for you, they will firstly look for branches nearby. If there is an axe and a tree, they will prefer that path, as it is more efficient. Continuing this - if there is a saw, a large tree and a sawmill, they will pick that path instead. ๐ŸŒฒ

First Person View

As a player, you control them less directly as a typicial RTS game, where you have to tell them exactly which resource to harvest. This frees you up more for other tasks - necessary, as you are playing from a First Person Perspective and don't have a god's eye view over the situation. ๐Ÿ‘€

More info on this AI system

There is an interesting talk about Goal Oriented Action Planning, as it is also used in games such as Shadow Of Mordor:

The rainbow parrots ๐Ÿฆœ - one of the few animals that support your cause against the fox-tyranny:

The materials you get from dismantling weapons or boxes can be used to repair old buildings, such as the mill!

The mice from the mill will distract any hungry critters nearby ๐Ÿญ๐Ÿž

Experience spheres ๐Ÿ“˜

Can you spot the blue spheres? They give you experience points that will let you grow your character! Melee combat = more risk but higher reward!

Building and tools ๐Ÿ

What would a good rabbit civilization be without infrastructure and a wide range of tools? ...

This week, we added support for controllers (Xbox, PS4)! ๐ŸŽฎ

The tooltips update automatically to let you know how to use the controls. Feels like the controls fit the game very well, and are excellent for platforming. ๐Ÿฆ˜

Added a dismantling option for unused swords or armor - can you ever have too many particles? ๐Ÿฃ ๐ŸŽ†

The gentle penguins ๐Ÿง - they live in harsh climates and are on your side:

Feathers ๐Ÿชถ๐Ÿชถ

The characters now finally have reached the fluffyness they were intended to have!

A first look at a new game prototype! Over the last days: multiplayer, building stuff, and cheetahs chasing you. Sticking to core mechanics first is tough, had to stop myself from going all-in on art and sound too soon!

Materials โš™๏ธ

After several playtests it has become clear that there are a lot of items cluttered on the ground - you can now dismantle them and use the materials as a resource! Let's keep our town tidy ๐Ÿงน
