Here is my entry for your contest. Hope you like it :D


Looking at his expression in the reference image, I thought a sort of bored pose would be good, so I tried to draw him kicking the dirt. Not sure if I got the post quite right, but I think it looks pretty decent.

Because the art style of the original was pretty simple (and because I wanted to not spend too much time on it, as I have plenty else to do today) I decided to go for a simple, rough feeling design, something that would mimic traditional art a little bit.
